“I chose to study Creative Media at Wakefield College because I liked the course content more than other places I looked at and when I met the tutors at the Open Event, they seemed passionate and interested. I am in my first year and feel like I have learnt so much already; we have learnt how to use all of the College’s industry-standard equipment. My favourite part of the course in being able to create films, music videos and TikTok advertisements which we have a lot of freedom with. I also enjoy the research process as it helps with the creation of the projects.”
“Both my tutors are very helpful and always provide great feedback as well as being genuine people with good sense of humours and an inspiring passion for what they do. We were able to attend the Leeds Film Festival where we listened to different talks, watched other student films and learnt about career paths within the film industry - it was interesting to see what you could go on to do. I’m definitely continuing on to the second year of the course and I am thinking about going to university afterwards. One day I’d love to direct my own film.”
