What will the apprentice be doing?
The Role and What You’ll Do:
We’re offering a multifaceted position that promises a wealth of variety and the chance to tackle new challenges head-on. The ideal candidate will develop a diverse skill set, including AutoCAD, Document Control, Auditing, and Administration, all while contributing to significant frameworks within the industry.
Your role will be a blend of office duties and on-site tasks, with travel across the UK being an integral part of the job. Expect overnight stays, for which we provide a company vehicle or fuel card, and cover all accommodations and meals, plus a bonus for each night away.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold the accuracy of documents and drawings to meet client standards.
- Conduct site surveys and report on the status of drawings and conditions.
- Align the Site Drawing Index (SDI) with the actual site drawing status.
- Match the Client Provided Contract Drawing Lists (CDL) with all documents returned to the site.
- Eliminate outdated drawings from current filing systems.
- Update drawings based on site hand mark-ups.
- Implement new site filing structures and systems.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The apprentice will work towards the L3 Engineering Design and Draughtsperson standard.
The apprentice will attend Castleford college on day release to complete the L3 BTEC element of the apprenticeship. The apprentice will also complete a work based NVQ portfolio.
Functional Skills English and Maths if required.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
