Assist the shared services function (Customer Services and Purchasing) with day to day tasks, queries and issue resolution. You will continuously be developing your own knowledge on the business through training, being proactive and taking initiative where required to give customers outstanding levels of service.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Assist the sales team solve any customer requests in person, through email or over the phone
  • Assist the purchasing team solve any order queries, through email or over the phone
  • Process customer orders & purchase orders, ensuring these are done accurately and in a timely manner
  • Update customer & supplier details
  • Liaise with transport to organize deliveries from customer requests
  • Offer after-sales support
  • Deal, resolve and escalate customer complaints within the departments remit
  • Provide quotations for customers as well as chasing, continuously updating the status
  • Get Quotations of suppliers for required goods & services
  • Check stock availability and prices, updating when necessary
  • Produce invoices
  • Maintain a record of sales and organise sales-related paperwork
  • Generate sales reports
  • Assist with compiling market data from customers & suppliers as well as other sources
  • Communicate with other departments and identify new opportunities where possible from customers
  • Assist in process improvements
  • Raise credit notes

  • Follow procedures applicable to the department in line with LP9000
