What You Will Study
Students will study five mandatory units:
- Manage Personal Performance and Development
- Manage Team Performance
- Principles of Leadership and Management
- Principles of People Management
- Principles of Business.
Students can then choose to study other topics relevant to their work role from a diverse range of optional units.

Attendance Expectations
You will need to meet with your assessor approximately every four to six weeks. The meetings with your assessor will be a combination of virtual teams meetings and workplace visits.

How You Will Be Assessed
Competency units will be assessed via the collation of a portfolio of evidence to meet assessment criteria. Evidence could include reflective accounts, professional discussions, witness testimonies, photographs, and work product evidence such as minutes, reports, emails, and procedures.
Knowledge units are assessed via written assignments and professional discussion.

Entry Requirements
English and Maths at Level 2 Functional Skills or GCSE Grade 9-4.
You must be employed in a management role at the appropriate level to enable you to provide evidence of competency in the units identified above. An initial assessment with an assessor will determine your suitability for the course.

Further Study
Successful candidates at Level 3 may progress on to a higher level study in leadership and management or another related occupational area. This is subject to students meeting appropriate national occupational standards.
