Student using engineering machinery

What You Will Study

On this programme you will study towards one of the available pathways. Depending on your job role, you will study a variety of units in Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations (or equivalent), BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and NVQ Level 3 Diploma.

The apprentice will have a depth and breadth of English and mathematics that allow them to operate successfully within their role. This may be met through entry criteria determined by the employer or qualifications and training within the apprenticeship. However, on completion all apprentices will have minimum Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths. Some employers may mandate training or qualifications at Level 3 in English and/or Maths.

  • How You Will Be Assessed

There will be continuous assessment of both your practical skills and theoretical knowledge.

  • Entry Requirements

Candidates must have an employer willing to support the requirements of the apprenticeship standard.

Individual employers will set the selection criteria for their apprentices.

Most candidates will have achieved GCSEs at Grade 9-4 in English and Maths and a STEM-related subject at Level 2 prior to commencement of apprenticeship.

If you do not have these, we can assess your current level of English/Maths.
