What You Will Study
The modules of study include:
- Prepare and groom dogs prior to bathing
- Bathe and clean dogs
- Clean and maintain equipment used for grooming or removing hair from animals
- Control and restrain animals
- Dry dogs and prepare their coats for styling
- Basic trimming of a dog’s coat

Attendance Expectations
On the day time course – one day per week over 35 weeks.
The day course is currently planned to run on a Tuesday 10:45am-4:15pm.
On the evening course – one evening per week over 35 weeks.
The evening course is currently planned to run on a Thursday 4:00pm-9:00pm.

How You Will Be Assessed
You will produce a portfolio of evidence of your practical work, supported by some written assessments.

- A good knowledge and understanding of how to safely approach and handle dogs
- A passion for the dog grooming industry
