What You Will Study

    Assessments will also be varied to ensure you have every opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge. You may be assessed through practical tasks, short-answer questions, research tasks, written assignments, producing visual displays such as leaflets, observations of role-play.

    Level 3 students may also undertake market research, case studies and investigations, presenting your findings in a variety of formats such as reports, brochures and presentations that you might find in working situations within the industry. Some units at all levels may be assessed by online tests.

  • Entry Requirements

    Level 3 Certificate/Diploma:
    4 GCSEs at Grade 9-4, including English and/or Maths.
    OR
    Level 2 qualification with Merit Grade, plus Level 2/Grade 9-4 English and/or Maths.

    Level 3 Introductory Diploma/Extended Diploma:
    5 GCSEs at Grade 9-4, including English and Maths.
    OR
    Level 2 qualification with Merit Grade, plus Level 2/Grade 9-4 in English and Maths.

  • Further Study

    If you complete the course with an appropriate pass grade with Maths and English, you can progress through the levels.

    You could also enhance your CV by taking other qualifications related to the Travel and Tourism industry such as Basic First Aid or Essential Food Hygiene. Some students may wish to learn a new foreign language or improve on one already studied at school. Some students progress onto a Higher Education course, such as the HNC/HND in Tourism Management run through the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group.
