Selby College provides its own transport to and from the College for students travelling from across the district. This service is run in addition to public transport provided by Arriva.

S6 - Return route ONLY to support the 4A route
Due to unforeseen circumstance the 4.52pm route to Hemingbrough is no longer running. In response to this we have arranged the S6 this coach is at a cost of £79.50, £79.00 and £79.00 each term (return trip only, continue to use the 4A service bus to travel into College).
The S6 will pick up from the turning circle outside college at 4.45pm and its route will be Barlby – Osgodby – Cliffe – Hemingbrough

Routes S1, S2, S3 and the shuttle bus service is provided by Company Coaches please look for the Company Coaches logo on the mini buses and coaches, there will also be a sign in the window of the bus.

S4 and S6 is provided by Sweyne Coaches, please look for the Sweyne Coaches logo on the coaches, there will also be a sign in the window of the bus.

The S5 route is provided by Selby College, please look for the Selby College logo on the mini bus.
Free Shuttle Bus (every 20 minutes)
Free to all students and staff from Selby Bus Station to Selby College and return, running every 20 minutes between 8am - 9.20am and 4.15pm – 5.05pm.
How to Purchase Your Selby College Transport Pass
A Selby College pass must be purchased via Selby College Wise pay. You will receive an email with a link to wise pay once you have enrolled to your chosen course. Please follow this link to set up your account and pay for your travel in advance, on completion you will receive a paid receipt this is your evidence of payment so keep it safe.

- If you purchase an annual pass you will be charged £425.00 (SAVING £50 a year)
- If you pay termly the total amount charged is £475.00, making the termly payment

Before purchasing a ticket for the Selby College transport you must agree to the college terms and conditions (below).
For bursary students, the Selby College transport is covered in full, however the Arriva connect card you may need to put additional money towards the cost, this can be purchased at college for a reduced price.
Arriva Passes & Costs
£633.25 annual cost, you can also pay termly at a charge of £221. You can purchase these from college finance office.

Terms & Conditions
Please read and accept the terms and conditions of using the Selby College coach service, this must be accepted unconditionally before purchasing your ticket.
Selby College provides transport for the benefit of its students and is committed to providing a quality service for all users of the college transport service.
General Rules
- Selby College transport is only available to current Selby College students.
- Passengers must be in possession of a valid student ID card to access the transport.
- Passengers must always abide by the Selby College student Code of Conduct.
- Where a passenger is in breach of Selby College Code of Conduct or these guidelines and terms and conditions. They may be subject to Selby College's behaviour regulation process and their right to use the college transport be withdrawn.
- Student who are suspended, excluded, or leave Selby College for any other reason, will instantly forfeit their right to use Selby College transport.
- Where a student is refused entry to the transport or requested to leave the vehicle, it is the responsibility of the student to make alternative arrangements.
- Students who cause damage to any vehicle will be charged for the full repair cost and will be subject to Selby College's behaviour regulation process and forfeit their right to use the transport organised by the college.
The service
- Selby College accepts no responsibility for unavoidable delays and route changes due to forces outside its control e.g., road traffic accidents and road works.
- Selby College reserves the right to vary routes and/or pick up points/times for organisational or safety reasons.
- Travel delays and updates to the Selby College transport service will be communicated via the college website where possible.

S6 Bus Route Only
a. If you wish to purchase an annual pass you will be charged £198
b. If you pay termly you will be charged £66 per term
Term 1 – September (ahead of using the service)
Term 2 – Must be paid by the 15th December 2024
Term 3 – Must be paid by the 15th March 2025 - You will not be able to access multiple routes as we cannot guarantee a seat on this route.
- To access the transport, you must show your valid student ID badge, where the driver will have your name and be expecting you, you will be ticked off the list on arrival. If your name is not on the list for that route you will not be able to access it.
- Any student found to be trying to access the transport fraudulently (using another students ID badge, giving another student’s name) will be subject to Selby College's behaviour regulation process and will lose the right to travel on the Selby College transport.
- Checks will be carried out on students utilising the transport to ensure payment and access is valid. Any student found to be travelling without a valid pass will be subject to Selby College's behaviour regulation process and access to the transport removed.
Refund Policy – Selby College Transport
- For annual coach passes paid in full, pro-rata refunds may be paid at the colleges discretion where the student has been formally withdrawn from college. Refunds will only be made for a full term (Autum, Spring or Summer term) remaining on the pass. No refund will be made for any part of a term where the student has registered attendance.
- There will be no refund on termly paid passes.
Passenger Rules
To ensure the safety of all passengers and smooth running of transport, all users of Selby College transport must abide by the terms and conditions of travel (see below)
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL ON SELBY COLLEGE TRANSPORT
- Smoking/ E- Cigarettes or the use of naked flames is not permitted.
- The carrying or consumption / use of alcohol/controlled substance is not permitted.
- Knives/ other sharp objects/ firearms or ammunition are not to be carried on any college transport.
- High standards of behaviour particularly towards others is always expected. Bullying will not be tolerated, and any passenger(s) suspected of such behaviour will be immediately removed from the use of college transport until a full investigation has taken place.
- Wilful damage to vehicles or the contents or interference with anything provided in the interest of Health & Safety is not permitted.
- Remain seated and wear seatbelts at all times.
- Arrive at the bus stop at least 5 minutes before the departure time.
- Respect the transport and drives, take your rubbish with you.
- Do not distract the driver while the vehicle is moving.
- If you wish to listen to music, please do so through your personal earphones/ headphones so not to disturb others.
