“After achieving my A Levels, I have secured an apprenticeship as a detective for West Yorkshire Police. It has always been a dream of mine since I was younger to be in a field where you really make an impact and get to look after people. I find detective work interesting and I feel like each day is different on the job which I’d like. Sociology was my favourite subject as it’s really fascinating and I love learning about people and the theory behind why they do things. I chose these subjects as I knew they’d help me get an apprenticeship in the industry and I’m so happy with the results I’ve got. My advice to A Level students would be don’t worry too much about the grades you receive as there will always be a path for you to take at the end of it.”
