“I am so happy with my GCSE grades because I got what I needed to get into the Musical Theatre course at Wakefield College next year! At the beginning of my course, I moved groups a few times and dealt with the transition from homeschooling to college so I’m proud of the Double Merit I achieved in Animal Care. I’m really excited to join Musical Theatre next year after going to a couple of the College’s open days where I met students and staff.”
“I really enjoyed Animal Care because we got to personalise our assignments, for example, I got to write about my own cat! I also really enjoyed the animal handling, especially the work experience I got to do at Swithens Farm. I really bonded with the animals and developed my animal handling skills such as feeding lambs and cleaning the barns. I loved it and have been back since to visit my favourite animals there! The Animal Care tutors are also so lovely and have always helped me. I encourage students to choose Animal Care, especially if they aren’t very confident or struggling to choose something as it’s a really fun course.”
